Glaze Technician (Full-time)
Fabrication Department
As a member of the Fabrication team, assist in the timely flow of all glaze area functions including but not limited to those listed below:
- Mix and apply glazes (spraying, dipping or pouring as appropriate)
- Test glaze batches for consistency
- Track jobs and keep detailed records
- Sort tiles and vessels according to specific orders, glazes and firing conditions
- Perform special cuts as needed
- Hand paint multi-colored tiles and vessels
- Set and grout tiles for special project as requested
A Ceramics degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Two years glaze and clay experience including glaze mixing, application and testing experience preferred. Knowledge of glaze chemistry a plus. Detail oriented individual with a focus on producing quality work on a timely basis. Good oral and written communication skills.

IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUIRED FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS
Design Coordinator – (part-time)
20 hours/week – Monday thru Friday
Reports To: Director of Design/Executive Director
As a member of the Design team, this position will assist designers in effectively coordinating and communicating with custom clients.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to following up with clients, scheduling presentations, making presentation arrangements, providing reports and assisting designers with various projects.
Maintain an organized Tile Showroom and keep sample libraries, catalogs, design materials and files up to date.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Previous customer service and presentation experience required. Working knowledge of database programs, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and CAD based programs is necessary.
