Fabrication Assistant – Tile Pressing Department
Part-Time (24 hours per week)
As a member of the Fabrication team, assist in the thorough and timely flow of all tile pressing and clay making duties. Ceramics degree or previous clay work experience preferred.
Individual should be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills with a focus on producing a quality product in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and change direction as priorities change. Ability to perform laborious and repetitive tasks. Frequent heavy lifting required.
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to pressing tiles by hand and through the use of RAM press and foot press. Monitor the drying process, clean and sand tiles. Recycle clay and assist in the clay making process. Demonstrate and explain pressing techniques to visitors and other tasks as assigned.

Gallery Assistant
Part-time 15-18 hours per week
As a member of the Retail team, provide excellent customer service while handling the day to day operations of the Gallery store. High school degree required with some college preferred. 1-3 years retail experience necessary. Basic computer skills, cash register required. Art background helpful.
Individual should possess excellent organizational skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to multi-task and prioritize changing priorities. Self motivated with attention to details. Use diplomacy and tact when interacting with Pottery staff and the public.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting customers with purchases. Maintaining gallery displays and shelving to present an orderly and professional appearance. Assisting visitors and supporting staff on special events as needed.
